Did you know that Gay City has a new location? Yep, and not only that, they’re now called Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center? They’ve been through a lot of changes and the community is excited about it! Visually Speaking continues the collaboration and ASL classes will be provided in their gorgeous new classroom, which is a safe space for anyone in the queer community and their allies!

Welcome to Level up American Sign Language (ASL) course, this 6 week class is perfect for those who have some experience with ASL or just want to take another class with Visually Speaking. All are welcome.

In this course, you will learn to acquire new vocabulary, enhance your facial expressions, and engage in discussions about current trends in the Deaf Community. Additionally, you will learn to sign about relationships, art, and emotions.

This course is more than just an ASL class. This is a safe and affirming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals to engage with and connect with the signing queer community. By the end of this course, you will have not only improved ASL skills, but you will also have a deeper understanding of the signing queer community and how to communicate in a respectful and inclusive way.
